Gigalight Announced the Completion of 40G/120G High-speed Copper Cable Assembly Solutions

Gigalight high-speed copper cable assembly product line includes four product series:

1. External MINI-SAS High-speed Passive Copper Cable assembly;
2 10G SFP+ Active or Passive Copper cable assembly;
3. 40G QSFP+ active or passive copper cable assembly;
4. 120G CXP passive copper cable assembly. 

External MINI-SAS High-speed Passive Copper Cable assembly has four lanes, each lane supports up to 6Gb/s, and is complaint with SFF-8086 and SFF-8088, reaches up to 5meter. It is widely used in SATA Storage Device and RAID environment for intra-rack connection. 

10G SFP+ Active or Passive copper cable assembly is complaint with SFF-8431, and supports 10G Ethernet, 8G Fiber Channel and Infiniband. Gigalight 10G SFP+ active or passive copper cable assemble provide cost-effective solution for intra-rack connections within a data center environment. 10G SFP+ Active copper cable assembly reaches 12 meter with EDC function, and 10G SFP+ passive copper assembly reaches 7 meter.

QSFP+ active or passive copper cable assembly transmits 4 x 10Gb/s full-duplex signal. 
Gigalight’s newly developed QSFP+ active copper cable assembly with maximum power consumption only at 0.8W, and reach of 12meter. The primary application is 40G Ethernet, Infiniband(SDR/DDR/QDR) and Fiber Channel(8G FC and 10G FC) for parallel high-speed transition applications.

120G CXP Passive Copper Cable assembly has 12 lanes, each lane supports up to 10.3Gb/s.  It is complaint with SFF-8642 and Infiniband, 4meter. This product is most widely used in Infiniband 12x SDR/QDR/DDR Device and Ethernet environment for intra-rack connection.  The maximum reach is up to 4 meter.
Gigalight the direct attached copper series provide a smooth and economical upgrade solution for data center intro-rack connections.

Gigalight MPO/MTP Cabling Training Held by Engireer Manager

On last Friday and this Wednesday, Gigalight engineer manager hold two training courses on MPO/MTP data center cabling for headquarter staff. The first was about Patchcord basic knowledge, including optical jumper definition, usages, connector types, structure, workshop, technical process, etc. The second was about MPO/MTP applications, such as Hydra cable usages, channel explanation, Harness and Trunk cable applications. 

Today networking environment becomes increasingly dependent on high-speed and high-density solutions, and the key concern is how to manage more cables in a smaller amount of space. The LC Uniboot patchcord reduces cable management space by 50% compared with standard LC duplex patchcord.

Gigalight Launched Second Generation Multi-mode Parallel Optical Engine

On August 17th, Gigalight announced successfully developing second generation multi-mode parallel optical engine that is capable of real-time monitoring on 4-12 channels of TX optical power, and equipped it on the Gigalight second generation 40G QSFP-SR4 optical transceiver. The core objective of second generation optical engine is to develop a micro-optics structured LENS, realize power-monitoring of multichannel parallel VCSEL light path, and bond easily to high speed module circuit boards.




Gigalight 40G QSFP+ SR4 GEN2 optical module applies integrated optical device which carried our innovative coupling Lens Array, to realize real-time monitoring of TX optical powerthe function can effectively monitor and stabilize the TX optical powerThe common QSFP+ SR4 optical module on the market actually do not have theTX optical powerreal-time monitoring function, for that is not only restricted by launch mode of VCSEL ARRAY,but also very difficult to embed a feedback optical signal on the current QSFP+ form factor. Gigalight Launched Industry-standard CSFP Optical Modules on Feb.27th 2015

Shenzhen Gigalight Technology Co., Ltd. Launched industry-standard compact SFP BIDI optical modules at March 2014. Through analysis the commercial CSFP thermodynamic and optimize its structural, to achieve dual transmit and receive function within one standard SFP package. The working environment temperature support -40 ℃ ~ 85 ℃, and both 1.25Gbps and 2.5Gbps bit rates are available. Also, 20km transmission distance and max 1.2W consumes optical power, compliance with CSFP MSA 2.0 protocol. Expanded CSFP has great commercial value at enhancing both port density and building up information throughput.

Los Angeles, (May 7, 2015) – the 3G/18GHz RF-Over-Fiber(ROF) developed by Shenzhen Gigalight Technology Co. Ltd. and Institute of Information Photonics and Optical Communications of BUPT (Beijing university of Posts and Telecommunications) has passed the acceptance check successfully. The program integrates the advantages of optical fiber communication such as low power consumption, high bandwidth, good anti-interference performance and the advantage of wireless communication, namely wide coverage and flexible access to provide a cost-effective solution to meet the high-bandwidth wireless access needs. At the same time, the RF-Over-Fiber achieves a wide range of information collection, and it is an important method to implement the new generation of ultra- bandwidth wireless access.

It is reported that this project includes 18G/3G transceiver, transmitter and receiver RF optical module. The industry experts and leaders reviewed the inspection reports and other technical information; they also watched the prototype test and demonstration function, which all passed the technical acceptance check. In addition, the product can add pre/post amplifier functions according to the real applications.
