High Speed Optical Transceiver--100G QSFP28 Loopback

The Gigalight GQS-MPO101-LP QSFP28 active electrical loopback is used for testing QSFP28 transceiver ports in board level test. By substituting for a full-featured QSFP28 transceiver, the electrical loopback provides a cost effective low loss method for QSFP28 port testing. The GQS-MPO101-LP is packaged in a standard MSA housing compatible with all QSFP28 ports. Transmit data from the host is electrically routed (internal to the loopback module) to the receive data outputs and back to the host. Since the loopback module does not contain laser diodes, photodiodes, laser driver or transimpedance amplifier chips, etc., it provides an economical way to exercise QSFP28 ports during R&D validation, production testing and field testing. The GQS-MPO101-LP provides QSFP28 power Class 1, 2, 3, or 4 loading using a customer supplied +3.3V voltage supply. Power Classes 5, 6 and 7 are available upon request.

Gigalight High Speed Optical Transceiver--100G CFP LR4

The Gigalight 100GBASE-LR4 CFP module supports a link length of 10 kilometers on standard single-mode fiber (SMF, G.652). 100 Gigabit Ethernet signal is carried over four wavelengths. Multiplexing and demultiplexing of the four wavelengths are managed within the device. They are compliant with the CFP MSA and IEEE 802.3ba 100GBASE-LR4. Digital diagnostics functions are available via an MDIO interface.

Gigalight Releases HDMI2.0 AOC and HDMI Extender to Mark a New Step of Video Optics

Gigalight HDMI2.0 Active Optical Cable employs multimode fiber transmission and metal shell, with data rate up to 18 Gb/s, extend HDMI reach to 100m (much more than tens of transmission distance of normal cable) and support 4K HD picture lossless transmission, offering HD signal transmission solution for large conference room, multi-screen media teaching and other commercial condition.

The Gigalight HDMI Optical Fiber Extender can realize signal long-distance transmission through HDMI - 10G Optical signal conversion and signal transmit-receive through optical fibers and modules. Each HDMI Extender consists of a transmitter and receiver linked with optical fibers: transmitter connects to HDMI Source while receiver connects to HDMI Sink. When using dual fiber 10G SFP+ optical modules, optical fibers need to be cross-connected. For instance, receive port of transmitter module needs to connect with transmit port of receiver module, and vice versa.

Gigalight USB3.1 Active Optical Cable with data rate up to 10Gbps and transmission distance up to 100m; the diameter and weight less than one third of that of traditional copper wire; low power consumption; and support self-powered USB3.1 compatible devices, making it available for daily consumer. Gigalight Launches Pocket Checker for 10G SFP+

Recently, Gigalight Technology has launched second generation test instrument for optical transceiver—10G SFP+ Checker, which combines multi functions: 8.5G, 9.95~11.3Gbps Bit Error Test, Power Meter Test, EEPROM Writing & Reading, DDM Monitor, and has features like High Test Precision, Low Consumption and Good Portability. This checker can be applied on the solution field for flexible recognition and examination of SFP+ working condition and performance, to greatly help the integrators and project contractors simplify operation process and reduce operating cost.

Gigalight Launched First Generation 100G QSFP28 Family of Products



On August 21 2015, Gigalight officially launched its first generation 100G QSFP28 family of products, including 100G QSFP28-SR4 optical transceiver, 100G QSFP28 active optical cable and 100G QSFP loopback transceiver. Gigalight has carried live demo to these new products at the 17th CIOE (China International Optoelectronic Expo) in Shenzhen, China.

Gigalight 100G QSFP28-SR4 Transceiver

The first generation 100GE QSFP28 SR4 design performance conforms to protocol standard of IEEE 802.3bm 100GBASE SR4 and InfiniBand EDR. Its emitted optical power ranges in +-0.5dbm. Received OMA parameter is a bit lower than protocol standard; still it can totally be applied to OM3 optical fiber 75meter transfer and OM4 optical fiber 100meter transfer. The practical test environment is on the basis of stricter SER test standard (<10-15), there’s no single error code while transferring OM4 optical fiber. This transceiver uses Gigalight original lens and optical engine, integrates 4channels of 25Gbps data channel, classic consumption is 3.2W, and supporting digital diagnosis function on the project except TX power. This transceiver has obtained excellent optical and electric eye mask.
